This workshop has four program segments associated with it. Each segment is approximately 90 minutes in duration. They combine both film and discussion.

 The segments provide an educational progression from the earliest time of discovery to the significance of the cafe  today. These workshops offer a unique look at the journey and culture of coffee.

The Science Behind Coffee Varieties

This workshop provides an interesting look at the migration of the coffee plant from Ethiopia to many parts of the globe. From man made hybrids to natural mutations the evolution of the species has been remarkable.

As the coffee travels, the characteristics of the flavor profiles transform. After attending this workshop you will never again just ask for "A CUP OF COFFEE".

Which Brew Are You?

This is a fun and interactive workshop.  Participants will have the opportunity to work with one coffee variety and brew it several different ways. From Immersion to Infusion to percolation. Each method provides a different experience for your taste buds.

We will use everything from a pulled shot of espresso to a syphon pot brew to truly explore how methods can make or break the coffee. 

Cupping The Worlds Best Coffee

​This hands on workshop will provide participants an opportunity to explore the art and science of coffee cupping. We will utilize our comprehensive cupping sheets to learn to identify sensory characteristics of each cup. This workshop is limited to 6 participants.
