As a former café owner I know first hand that my customers that drink decaf had no use for second rate coffee. Some owners scoff at serving decaf and simply put the least expensive coffee they can find on the menu to tic a box. I say to all the decaf drinkers out there - rise up and demand the best. Puerto Rician Coffee - Discover What a hidden gem it is.
It has been nearly three years since Holly and I visited the mountains of Puerto Rico and savored the excellent coffee being produced, This month we asked that the podcast be focused on sharing a little of the history of coffee in Puerto Rico with our listeners. There has been so much transition in the coffee industry just since hurricane Maria. You will not want to miss the developments of the specialty coffee industry on the island.
We will be returning the island in early 2027 for an extended visit and we look forward to reconnecting with friends at the cafes and on the plantations.
We'll bring back some great coffee to share with you all along with new insights into the fascinating world of coffee from Puerto Rico.
